Vieux Carré Commission to discuss removal of Battle of Liberty Place monument Wednesday

NEW ORLEANS —A public hearing will be held Wednesday afternoon to discuss the removal of a Confederate monument located near the Mississippi Riverfront.
The city of New Orleans announced this week the Vieux Carré Commission will hold a public hearing at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at City Council Chambers.
