Bobby Jindal’s presidential campaign cost the state at least $400K
Louisiana taxpayers spent at least $400,000 this year on travel and other expenses for State Police troopers who accompanied Gov. Bobby Jindal across the country as he campaigned for president, according to a new analysis from Fox 8 of New Orleans.
Jindal abandoned his bid for the Republican presidential nomination last week, after making frequent trips to campaign in other states.
Troopers travel with Jindal whenever he leaves Louisiana.
The Associated Press reported last month that Jindal’s security detail has nearly doubled since he took office eight years ago.
