heroin in Maine

we are getting invaded by the heroin drug pushers. we need to step up the arrest time to prevent rapid spread to new users. I think when you read that a person or group has been under investigation for months you need to alter your policy. think of how many new users,of the ability to spread this junk to our children and hook the addicts to a life of misery and eventually to crime in order to feed their habit. one thing is for sure the method need a kick in the butt.
I live in a community that may have had a drug related call once a week a few years ago -now it's several times a day. really and overdoses are far to common. It's time we changed the policy and protected our families

we have to change our culture to reject these dealers - maybe by giving a bounty reward of turning them in. something different than what we have been doing. When what we have been doing doesn't work, we have to find something that does.
I always thought that if people wanted to be addicted, we should offer them free stuff if they would give up their life styles and be willing to be located in one place. Free drugs = not in the middle of us. Now that is not a popular idea, but when you consider taking drugs is volunteering for a slavery of sorts, they are already making bad decisions. Just take the market away from the dealers.
