So, around 7:30 I was walking past my front door...

actually, my back door. But no matter, my buddy Chuck, the 3 year Groundhog inhabitant of my property....was on my deck. At full attention. I walked into the picture and stopped.....he's 6 feet away , on full, standing alert. I stopped and enjoyed the moment. Then I tried to get my phone outta my pocket and turn my camera on, Sadly, he moved on...quickly. It would have been an awesome pic to share. He's never showed up on my deck in 3 years....

Shove your camera/phone down his hole and get some pics of his crib.

The photos would be great to check out.

30 feet away from my property on a 6 foot drop. Found his den. This year, he's living elsewhere....but doing a lot more roaming, imho.

I have spent a lot of time following this Ground-Dude or Ground-Dudess.

We BOTH missed something(s) today. While posting sunset pics, 3 gaggles of geese flew by! OMG is a polite version of what I said.

I was sitting and posting sunset pics as they flew over, so I can say what TIME it was, but couldn't catch them, as chip was in 'puter to enable posting.

Ago, framed, of a chipmunk standing in a crook of a tree among fall leaves...get this, he is leaning with front left paw against the tree...upright..like " so, you think I'm handsome"...I will try to take pic of pic and post...this pic was taken back in late 70's..I have treasured the pic..and the memory of a dear friend as we used to hike in the woods near Dartmouth NH often....people ask if it is real..yes, is very special...

May YOU be successful in capturing your little friends visit.....
