The Great Floods of 2018
The dam at Cacapon State Park has been breached. Route 127 has collapsed. Rt 522 in Berkeley Springs, Morgan county and Frederick county Virginia is completely flooded. All swift water teams and boats from Frederick county VA to Garrett county MD are on these calls. Roadways are being lost by the minute. Shelter in place orders are issued for the region. If need be, rescue attempts will be made as dispatched by E911 centers. The region is tasked to the limit with the severity of these water rescues. PLEASE STAY OFF ALL ROADS FROM CLARKE COUNTY WEST. IT IS NOT WORTH YOUR LIFE !!!! 18:00 hrs update. State Park officials are now reporting receding water and the situation may be improving at both dams
