As a young child, Joseph Meyerhoff emigrated from Ukraine to Baltimore, and 75 years later gifted us the vision and support for our Baltimore home, the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. To honor the contributions of all men and women of Ukrainian descent, and the brave people and sovereign nation of Ukraine, the BSO opens each concert this weekend with the Ukrainian National Anthem.
