What Would You Ask a Senate Candidate?

I'm meeting Congresswoman Edwards at 2:30pm Saturday in Federal Hill. I know she's progressive, but I have specific concerns. I want to know if she has ideas on what can be done about the police brutality problem, and de-escalation, and how we are "over-arming". I will ask about jobs for ex-offenders. I will ask about the erosion of voting rights.

Some of these are state issues, so I'm not sure what can be done, but I still want to hear her thoughts.

Will let you know if I come up with anything more. OH, Martin O'Malley sent e.mail around today, promoting Debt-free college: 'It's outrageous that we can figure out a way to bail out big banks, but we can't figure out a way to make college affordable.

In Maryland, we saw this trend, and we refused to give up. We froze tuition at public four-year institutions, invested in higher education and financial aid, and took steps to make sure our high school students were graduating with a degree that’s already worth something.'

MAYBE mention how she feels about the subject?
