Second Hand Lions also starred Haley Joel Osment, shortly after his break-through role in "Sixth Sense".

Roger Ebert rated it three stars which is about what I rate it. Duvall and Michael Caine were obviously having a lot of fun doing this flick and it shows.

Love Robert Duvall, in spite of his politics.

Of course, there's always his break-out role as Boo in To Kill a Mockingbird.

because he's one of the finest character actors out there, always has been.

I wonder if he's studying Bulger because there's a movie coming up. It wouldn't surprise me in the least, the whole story would make for a great film and Duvall could certainly pull the part off believably, although he'd spend most of his time trying to learn his lines in Massachusetts Dumb, not an easy dialect.
