Milton police investigating swastikas, other hateful graffiti at Curry College
MILTON – Police are investigating a series of swastikas and other hateful graffiti found at Curry College.
The swastika, an ancient symbol associated with the Nazi Party, and other graffiti were found over four days starting Thursday. The school did not elaborate on the nature of the other hateful language, but in a statement said it stood with Jewish and Black community members.
"Our support and care go out to everyone in our community, but particularly to our fellow Jewish and Black community members affected by this act. The college has both clear policies against hostile or hateful speech and a full commitment to creating a safe, welcoming and diverse campus," the college said in a statement. "These acts are contrary to all that Curry, its students, and faculty and staff stand for, and will not be tolerated."
The college held "listening sessions" with students Tuesday in response to the vandalism.
