Mitt Romney To Rally With Michigan Republicans Ahead Of November Elections
LANSING, MI — Mitt Romney is returning to his home state next month to rally with Michigan Republicans ahead of the November general election.
Romney, the former Massachusetts governor and presidential candidate, is scheduled to headline what the Michigan Republican Party is calling a “ComMITT to the Comeback Rally” in Livonia on October 2.
The event, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at Laurel Manor, will be open to the public.
Romney will be joined by Lt. Gov. Brian Calley, Attorney General Bill Schuette, Secretary of State Ruth Johnson, U.S. Senate candidate Terri Lynn Land and Michigan GOP Chair Bobby Schostak.
Gov. Rick Snyder, who has promoted Michigan as the “comeback” state, was not listed on a press release announcing the rally. He’s holding a town hall meeting that evening in Sterling Heights as part of his own re-election campaign.
