For a refreshing summertime treat, try the Detroit Cooler
Put 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream in a tall glass then add a can of Vernor's Ginger Ale.

1. That does not sound tasty to those of us who do not like
Ginger Ale.
I like Orange Crush over my vanilla ice cream !!! I use to like Root Beer over my vanilla ice cream. My tastes have apparently changed because I no longer like Root Beer. Maybe I should give Ginger Ale another try. Maybe my taste have also shifted on it. Have a wonderful day. |

3. Vernors was the go to drink for what ailed me when I was little
My mother or grandmother had me drink it whenever I was sick. I didn't care for it then but I like it now.

2. I love ice cream floats
Being from Georgia, my favorite is with Coke but I bet Ginger Ale would be even more refreshing.

5. in Detroit we called that a Boston Cooler, adding nutmeg (for some).
Vernors is no longer barrel aged and it does not taste the same as it once did with the new designer taste molecule. I have a dozen new Vernors bottles aging in my basement. In a few more years, I'll try it again.
