CHARLOTTE - A former Oneida Township clerk will spend at least two years in prison for stealing township funds.
Trevor Robinson, 40, of Grand Ledge, pleaded guilty in June in Eaton County Circuit Court to 10 felony counts, including one count of embezzlement by a public official over $50 and four counts of issuing bad checks.
He was sentenced Friday to three years in prison by Barry County Circuit Judge Amy McDowell but could enter a boot camp after serving two years, Eaton County Prosecutor Doug Lloyd said in a news release.
McDowell was appointed to hear the case after Eaton County Circuit Judge Janice Cunningham recused herself because of a potential conflict.
