Macomb leaders cheer Fiat Chrysler's $1 billion plan for Warren truck plant

As the Motor City prepares for the annual North American International Auto Show, Fiat Chrysler is putting extra sizzle into the event.

FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne on Thursday announced a $1 billion investment for the Warren Truck Plant, a move expected to create 2,500 new well-paying jobs.

In addition, about 60,000 Fiat Chrysler Automotive hourly and salaried workers in the United States will each receive a $2,000 bonus as a result of the recent federal tax reform.

There wouldn’t be a Chrysler at all without Obama’s auto bailout. And he also was instrumental in the merger.

One more thing. This is a naked attempt to curry favor with Trump and total BS.

This isn’t “new,” it’s part of a long planned investment strategy (bonuses included) established as a result of a 2015 deal between Fiat-Chrysler and the UAW.

The difference is that Obama didn’t take or expect credit for everything favorable a business did in the US.
