As the Motor City prepares for the annual North American International Auto Show, Fiat Chrysler is putting extra sizzle into the event.
FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne on Thursday announced a $1 billion investment for the Warren Truck Plant, a move expected to create 2,500 new well-paying jobs.
In addition, about 60,000 Fiat Chrysler Automotive hourly and salaried workers in the United States will each receive a $2,000 bonus as a result of the recent federal tax reform.
Im just elated at this news, Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel said.

One more thing. This is a naked attempt to curry favor with Trump and total BS.
This isnt new, its part of a long planned investment strategy (bonuses included) established as a result of a 2015 deal between Fiat-Chrysler and the UAW.

The difference is that Obama didnt take or expect credit for everything favorable a business did in the US.
