I love Labatts and will drive over the boarder to get the "real" Labatts. Do it all the time. I do usually pick Michigan products though.

It all comes from the 1970s, drinking age was 18 and gas was cheaper in Windsor. Every week we would go across the boarder, gas up, do some clothes shopping and load up the trunk with Canadian beer.

Oh and don't forget the couple of Newports for the guard at some building who, for the price of the cigs, would let you enter the line for the tunnel from the street directly in front of the tunnel and not wait in line on Jefferson. Good times!!!!!!!!!!

LANSING — State lawmakers will get the first chance to crack open Lansing Brewing Co.'s latest brew, a tribute to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer named "The Gov," during a week-long policy conference on Mackinac Island.

LBC is premiering the new India pale lager at the 2019 Mackinac Island Detroit Regional Chamber Policy Conference, a press release states. They'll start pouring from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Lansing reception at Mary's Bistro on the island. The beer will be available throughout the conference, the release states.

The Gov will be unveiled for the regular Joes at a release party sometime in June.

The Gov's label depicts Whitmer holding a tire iron in one hand and a spare tire in the other, prepared to "fix the damn roads," as she promised during her campaign.
