Biden spending the day in SE Michigan Friday
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden will be in Michigan for the second week in a row.
Bidens campaign announced that he will deliver remarks in Southfield on health care Friday afternoon. Biden plans to attend a virtual meeting with African American faith leaders afterward. In the evening, he is scheduled to do an event in Detroit urging Michiganders to vote early in person at their local clerks office or satellite voting center.
The Democrat last campaigned in Grand Rapids on Oct. 2.
Michigan, which narrowly voted for GOP now-President Trump in 2016, remains a hot commodity. Trump has a Muskegon rally slated for Saturday, his first Michigan event since being diagnosed with COVID-19. Vice President Mike Pence traveled to Grand Rapids on Wednesday. Both Biden and Trump also have dispatched surrogates to Michigan in recent weeks.
