Michigan
Related: About this forum1310 AM Detroit / Dearborn, Michigan is off the air?! Our ONLY progressive station in the area.
Yesterday, I noticed that all I could get is white noise. Not unusual for this station as it would oft cut out some statement by Thom Hartmann or Randi Rhodes.
I could never get it to come in at my office on the other side of the airport, nor my office downtown.
And, now it's gone, except for this message on its website:

Thanks for listening to AM 1310. You can now find Progressive Talk by visiting these hosts online:
Thom Hartmann - http://www.thomhartmann.com
Ed Schultz - http://www.wegoted.com
Stephanie Miller - http://www.stephaniemiller.com
Alan Colmes - http://www.alan.com
I guess they skipped Randi Rhodes on the website.

(5,039 posts)It's becoming harder and harder to hear progressive/liberal voices through mainstream media venues. Pretty soon, the internet will be all we have left.

Donation of station to the MMTC and pending closure
On December 11, 2012, Clear Channel announced they were donating the station to the Minority Media and Telecommunications Council (MMTC), as part of the Ownership Diversity Initiative between Clear Channel and the MMTC. The MMTC's plans for the station have yet to be announced.[1] However, on December 14, 2012, it was revealed that the MMTC donation applies only to the license of the station, as Clear Channel announced that WDTW will cease broadcasting at 12 Midnight on December 31, 2012, with the station's antennas and transmitter facilities near the intersection of I-94 and Telegraph Road in Taylor dismantled shortly afterward.[2]

(1 post)I had heard Tony on "Christmas Eve Eve" saying his good byes almost if not actually in tears. My heart was breaking for him. I thought he was doing a very good job. He even got to host for Ed!! I mean,... that's a pretty big deal!
I don't really understand why they made that decision. Clearly they had good talent and a dedicated listening audience even with the terrible signal quality.
Really now what do we have? MSNBC? Reddit?
It's a sad sad day for any Liberal Michigander...

(2,284 posts)Last year central WI finally got a progressive station. We get Miller, Schultz, Rhodes and Hartmann from 9 AM to 5PM. Bill Press is on at 8AM but that is a little early for me. I listen to the radio all day long. If you do get a liberal station you have to be sure and let the station manager how much you appreciate it.
