great show on TPT

Last edited Sat Jan 19, 2013, 09:22 PM - Edit history (1)

I just watched a really interesting program on Twin Cities Public Television called What is Race. http://www.tpt.org/?a=programs&id=17680
It repeats tonight at 11:30 pm.

The program is about an exhibit at the Science Museum about race as a cultural construction and how it came to represent the way we understand biological difference.
It brings together history, science, anthropology, and lived experiences of ordinary Americans, including immigrants.
The exhibit has finished at the Science Museum of Minnesota and will be going on national tour.

Did anyone here catch the exhibit?

Edit: apparently this exhibit was some time ago, but I just happened to catch the TPT show. I'm bummed I missed it.

Noon today

The ineradicable mark left on the United States Senate by late Minnesota Senator Paul Wellstone and his wife Sheila is thoroughly illustrated through rare home videos, archival footage, and interviews with family, friends and more

Boy, don't we miss him still.

He personally did one heck-of-a-job for my Veteran. He was the Veterans' advocate for sure.

(I used to do some clerical work for his campaign.)
