Bad habits?

We know, from Franken's own stories, that he spent enough time with "rowdy" crowds: SNL and, as posted here, USO tours.

So I wonder, I don't know, whether in some of these circles when people would meet they would not just shake hands, or air kiss, or even peck on the cheek, but would grab each other butts. After all, we've seen images of the Tweedy lady grabbing asses of co-performers on USO tours.

Thus, it is probable, I think, that Franken was used to greet friends and fans this way and automatically did it again, not thinking.

And he really did not know how to answer Esme Murphy when she asked him whether he'd ever grabbed asses.

He will just have to be more careful and conscientious when he meet people - men and women. Yes, will not be spontaneous, perhaps skip the hugs, too.

And let the chips fall where they will.

What I did not like was tpt Cathy Wurzer's suggestion that he steps down and for Dayton to appoint a woman. If he does step down - which, at this point, I don't think he should - Dayton should appoint a qualified, trusted Democrat. Enough with the "identity" politics. In my opinion, it has caused more damage than good.

Pretending someone in his position has gotten to where he is without hearing about how grabbing ass without consent isn't the best idea is just silly.

"Enough with the identity politics" makes it sound like you're tired of hearing about the experiences of women and other underrepresented populations, and how people in power are shaping those experiences.

I want us to stick with the issues, the quality of the person, the concerns of all voters. We should not campaign at "Latinos" or "blacks" or women. The experience of women is the experience of all of us. I am not sure about"underrepresente population." Supposedly in the 2016 we, Democrats, did not pay enough attention to rural Americans, to many who lost their jobs, who do not see any hope in their ability to support their families, who felt that they were left behind. They are not "underrepresnted."

Taylor's paper wanted him to resign as soon as the first story broke. And in today's editorial they complain that it is not clear for what he apologizes since he "does not recall groping." I think that this feeds into what I suggested above. That in his previous, rowdy life, grabbing each other butt was not unusual and this is why he cannot recall continuing this in a matter of habit.

Oh well..

lets have a two year stand down of national and state candidates who look like me: old white males. Its an embarrassment to pretend we can pretend we represent the most of us.
