Open letter to the DFL: Our voter registration cards arrived today
I am still waiting for candidates I can vote for or who are acceptable enough so I can vote against the not at all noble opposition.
People who do these things I cannot vote for. I did it before and look what happened:
People who think the answer to the crash of the economy is to put those same people in charge of the clean-up, or reform.
People who think that total information awareness, 24 hour intimate surveillance of all citizens and domestic drones is a good use of our taxpayer dollars or that it will keep us safe.
People who do not support public education and the right to unionize..
People who think that they are in Congress to Represent Israel no matter what.
People who passing laws forcing people to buy things at a profit with the kind of oversight business has been having of late is a great idea.
People who think we ought to put children in jail rather than educate them and who think that educate them means the 3Rs and some propaganda period.
People who think pot should be legislated differently than alcohol.
People who think that gay people should not have the same rights as all other Americans.
People that think that Health Insurance is Health Care.
People who think that those who can legally vote should be prevented, or discouraged from doing so through Jim Crow Voter ID laws etc.
People who think we can get mostly fair elections with electronic voting machines.
People who think that money should equal free speech, that corporations are citizens except when it comes to punishments and that tax breaks create jobs.
People who think that outlawing abortions will decrease or eliminate them and will somehow improve our society. Right now they have people convinced that you can do anything else you want and be forgiven but you cannot get into heaven if you think saving one life by ending a potential one is unforgivable.
People who think that democracy can work when most of the media is corporation controlled (what, the biggest riots in Mexico are happening now because of the stolen election? )
People who think we were always or should always be a Christian, Jewish or Islamic nation (or any other religion including organized Atheism )
People who think our Aid to Haiti (or Iraq, etc was adequate and in their best interests).
People who think banks should hold nations hostage because they lost money gambling.
People who think manipulating the markets constantly for the benefit of the few is a good thing.
People who think that stealing job security, pensions, education funds, home equity, and other savings by putting the little guy on the hook for the gambling that has been going on by the 1% with the blessings of our elected officials is the little guys fault and they should just accept it and vote them back in anyway because the other guy is worse.
People who think trading away our national and personal security through murky trade pacts that only benefit the 1% and the elected officials who represent them.
Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. That is insanity. I am not insane.
Give me reason to vote for you. We cannot keep compromising into the Dark Ages.
