Emmett Till would have been 80 this weekend. The Mississippi barn where Till was killed sits, unmarked and unmemorialized, on a local dentist's property; it now stores the family's Christmas decorations, lawn mower, and outboard motor.

IS the fact that there are STILL too many racist, evil ass Karen's 80 years later who are more than willing to get black men (and women as well), killed because they keep calling the police on black men and women for little to NOTHING.

A friends grandson (13) was over her place one weekend not long ago, and he decided to kind of clean up the yard and straighten out the garage for his Nana (my friend, 67 yrs old), and the racist piece of shit across the street (in her 50's) called the police on him. Oh they got there quick, and this young man was laying on the ground in starfish fashion crying his heart out. Luckily his Nana drove up, and she raised holy hell. I told his Nana that she's lucky that she wasn't shot/killed--I know her temper, and while she wasn't belligerent, she was plenty hot. She said as a black person, you can be doing little to nothing and still get shot or murdered here in this country. Her grandson has not fared well since the incident. I don't see how he can go back to school with his mental state. I told her to see if she can get him some help, and see if she can press charges or something against the police, and file a complaint against her racist Karen neighbor. She's right: As an African-American in 2021, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't with some of these racist, nazi, gestapo police officers who carry badges and guns, and who hate black people.

I'm so sick of this shit 🤬

From what I've read, the child had issues with stuttering and speech. He was told, as a way to help deal with it, to whistle a bit as a way to help regulate his breathing.

That poor child.
