Chris Christie's wife Mary Pat pulled in $500,000 in deferred pay from old job
Gov. Chris Christies run for president ended with a dismal showing in the first nominating contests of 2016 -- but it wasnt a bad year for the Christie family.
First lady Mary Pat Christie -- who had quit her job a year earlier and joined her husband on the campaign trail -- pulled in more than $500,000 in deferred pay last year from New York City investment firm Angelo, Gordon & Co., newly filed financial disclosure records show.

Governors Office spokesman Brian Murray called the cash part of standard practice throughout Wall Street to receive a bonus after the employment year in which it was earned.
