Charles Taylor stood before (New Mexico) state District Judge Charles Brown on April 10 ...
In that criminal complaint, police say he broke into a home on Jan. 31,
threatened the homeowner with a knife
and then stole the victim’s truck.

... the District Attorney’s Office asked for him to be held in jail until trial,
(but) a judge denied the motion, determining he was not a danger to the community (and released Taylor) ....

... a week later police say Charles Taylor kicked in a woman’s door in broad daylight before beating her,
tying her up and raping her ...
charged with criminal sexual penetration, kidnapping, aggravated battery with great bodily harm, aggravated burglary and robbery.

Taylor’s defense attorney says the judge made the right decision to release Taylor ...

1. I have a gut

feeling this isn't his 1st rape. You don't go from not raping to home invading, threatening with a knife, beating her causing great bodily harm, and rape in an ordeal that lasted 2 hours.

But that whole crew seems incapable of finding their way out of a paper bag, let alone dealing with violent criminals.
