Sanchez out as UNM Lobos women’s basketball coach
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Yvonne Sanchez is out as the head coach of the University of New Mexico women’s basketball team, the university announced Friday morning.
A press conference with Vice President for Athletics Paul Krebs to formally announce the decision is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday.
The Lobos ended their season Wednesday night ... with a 75-67 loss to Weber State in the opening round of the WBI Tournament after last week losing in the semifinals of the Mountain West semifinals to eventual champion Colorado State. UNM had a 17-15 record this season.
