Staten Island's tough political week on Facebook continues.

First, failed City Council hopeful John Mancuso had animal rescue advocates snapping at his heels when it turned out that the dog he adopted (and talked up) during his campaign ended up back at the shelter at possible risk of being put down.

Now, Assemblyman Joe Borelli is taking heat for illustrating an invite to a re-election fundraiser with an image featuring buttons from the campaigns of Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, and... George Wallace, the Alabama governor best remembered as one of the loudest voices against ending U.S. segregation.
