NYC voter turnout stinks: report

Most New Yorkers who can vote... don't.

A new report from the city's Voter Assistance Advisory Commission finds that despite a range of enticements to get Gothamites to the polls, only a quarter of those eligible to vote in 2013's election of the first new mayor in a dozen years bothered to show up.

It raises the question of, if so few people cast a ballot in a major municipal election, how many people might vote this year?
