Stonewall Crowds Applaud Landmark Decision



At New York's most famous gay bar, revelers are celebrating today's U.S. Supreme Court decisions.

Gay rights advocates and allies gathered in the West Village at the historic Stonewall Inn after the Defense of Marriage Act decision came down.

Many had already married a same-sex partner under New York law, but were excited to be recognized by the federal government, as well.

"Knowing that the federal government has your back, knowing that you can declare yourself married under the eyes of the federal government, it's extraordinary, it's fantastic, it feels amazing," said one patron.
