A teenager who was paralyzed from the waist down after being hit by a stray bullet in Bryant Park's ice rink last year is suing the city for $90 million.
Adonis Mera, then 14, was in the rink at around 11 p.m. on Nov. 14, 2013 when a stray bullet hit him in the back.
Police charged Cory Dunton, 16, with the shooting, saying Dunton was fighting with Javier Contreras, 20, over the mans $600 Marmot coat. Dunton whippped out his gun and fired repeatedly, hitting Contreras, a fish market worker, in the hand, abdomen and thigh.
In papers filed with the city comptroller, Mera's lawyer, Edward Gersowitz, said the New York City Parks Department, the Bryant Park Corporation and Bank of America Winter Village, which both operated the rink, and security firm Upsilon Ventures, failed to provide adequate supervision at the site.

I honestly don't think he's got a prayer but it would be nice if the punk who shot him could be forced to compensate him.
