Cuomo scheduled to appear Monday in Buffalo-first appearance since scandal broke.

The Buffalo News

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo is scheduled to make an announcement about a “major job creation” program in Buffalo Monday morning. It would mark the first time he has made a public appearance since a New York Times article published Wednesday that probed accusations that the Governor’s Office interfered with the Moreland Commission, an anti-corruption panel that was disabanded, as it probed politically allied groups.

The newspaper’s three-month investigation concluded that the Governor’s Office compromised the commission’s work by objecting whenever it focused on groups close to Cuomo or on issues important to him.

The Times investigation also found that the panel never tried to investigate anyone in the Cuomo administration.
