Lawsuit Alleges Inmates at Montgomery Co. Jail Are Dangerously Underfed

Barry Wygel

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, N.Y. -- Food regulations at the Montgomery County Jail has inmates crying foul.

"I spent a lot of time researching, and investigating what occurred and I confirmed that people were suffering. People were not being fed, and many times inmates were experiencing the early stages of malnutrition," said Bob Keach, who represents Hill and the other inmates.

Keach filed the lawsuit on behalf of Perry Hill, who spent time in the jail, and hopes to certify the lawsuit as a class action on behalf of the thousands of people who spent two or more weeks inside of the prison.
