Skelos son made threats dad would block contract unless he got a raise
The son of former state Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos threatened to have his dad block a $12 million contract to an environmental company he was working for unless he got a massive raise, a witness testified Friday.
Adam Skelos, 35, had landed a job at AbTech Industries that federal prosecutors say his dad helped him secure. But when Adam learned engineers on a project the company was bidding on would be paid more than he, Adam demanded more money, real-estate exec Charles Dorego told jurors.
