Two New York GOP House seats deemed a "toss-up"

The odds are decreasing of Republicans holding the congressional seats represented by John Faso and Claudia Tenney, according to an analysis by CQ Roll Call.

The 19th and 22nd Congressional districts moved from “tilt” Republican to a “toss up” on Tuesday, as Roll Call upgraded the Democratic chances in 30 districts and improved the Republican outlook in two races. Faso is squaring off against attorney Antonio Delgado and Tenney is going against Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi.

“Their re-election chances shouldn’t be regarded as any better than a toss up at this point,” said Nathan L. Gonzales, an election analyst for Roll Call.

The race between Faso and Delgado is also regarded as a toss-up by FiveThirtyEight’s new forecasting model. Their forecast gives the edge to Brindisi over Tenney, calculating a 70 percent chance of victory for the Democrat at this point.

We're counting on the "blue wave" to finally rid us of Paul Ryan protégé and Trump supporter Elise Stefanik. In case there was any doubt, she was responsible for inviting Trump to Fort Drum last week where he signed the bill that honored John McCain, but conveniently neglected to mention his name.

We see lots of Antonio Delgado ads around here and he sounds terrific, but you'd think Stefanik's support of Trump and Ryan would have ended her chances by now.

but I couldn't find anything about the District 21 race. Perhaps Roll Call will review the race again within the next few weeks?

On a lighter note, I did see an article on decoding the Saratoga Race Course dress code:

I'm certain that you already had the dress code committed to memory though.

My parents considered it a local paper and always subscribed to it. Both my brother and I were born in Albany.

And the dress code article was pretty interesting, thanks for that! Think I told you that my Dad used to borrow the mayor's box so we always dressed up, the ladies always wear fancy hats, that's another big tradition there.

The celebrities and owners sit there, as well. I know I told you who I met - and the certain news anchor who snubbed me.
