First positive case of coronavirus in NYC, Governor Cuomo confirms

NEW YORK -- The first case of coronavirus has been reported in New York State, Governor Cuomo confirms.

"This evening we learned of the first positive case of novel coronavirus - or COVID-19 - in New York State. The patient, a woman in her late thirties, contracted the virus while traveling abroad in Iran, and is currently isolated in her home. The patient has respiratory symptoms, but is not in serious condition and has been in a controlled situation since arriving to New York.

The female patient is not life threatening and has self-quarantined at her Manhattan home since returning from Iran. The investigative process will now begin to determine when she arrived, find any people she traveled with, and locate them.

1. As a NYC resident this just makes me want to wash my hands even more.

Had a discussion with my friend today. She wanted to go to MOMA. Then she had a flash and decided she didn’t want to go because it would mean being in an enclosed area with a bunch of people. Called me back and said we should go anyway because it would only get worse later.
Sheesh! The Dorothea Lang exhibit wasn’t even that good.
Glad I have stocked up on TP and Kleenex.

without the "bunch of people". Like Yogi Berra said "nobody goes there anymore it's too crowded".
