Cuomo adds GOP operative as special adviser

Lohud

Susan Del Percio, who helped run Republican John Faso's gubernatorial bid in 2006, was hired today to work in Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office.

Del Percio has been a Republican operative in New York for decades and is an interesting hire as Cuomo ramps up for re-election in November.

Del Percio, also a political contributor on MSNBC, will focus on operations and special projects, Cuomo announced.

She worked for former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani for a stretch, too, as well as Senate Republicans. She also once worked with the team heading Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino's bid against Cuomo.
