FBI Agent Who Questioned Bin Laden’s Son-In-Law Testifies In Terrorism Trial

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – An FBI agent took the stand Thursday in the terrorism trial of Osama bin Laden’s son-in-law.

As WCBS 880?s Irene Cornell reported, FBI Special Agent Michael Bush was the chief interviewer to question Sulaiman Abu Ghaith aboard a flight to the United States after his arrest in Turkey a year ago.

The agent testified that the interview lasted nine to 10 hours with breaks to allow Abu Ghaith to pray and to nap.

Bush testified that Abu Ghaith said he was close to the al Qaeda leader but not a member of al Qaeda. The government contends he was at the very top of the terror organization, Cornell reported.
