Long Island cop accused of targeting Hispanics facing more charges

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. -- A Long Island police sergeant accused of targeting Hispanic motorists and stealing cash from them during traffic stops is due in court Monday.

Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota says Scott Greene is to appear in state Supreme Court in Central Islip on Monday. He says the alleged traffic stops and thefts occurred in Farmingville, Medford and Coram.

Scott pleaded not guilty to charges of petty larceny and official misconduct following his January arrest.
