June 24 Moral Monday protest was largest so far. Next one is July 1 - the day UI is cut off

If you go, they've asked that you bring a can of food or a package of dry goods (pasta, rice, whatever) which will go to some of those who will loose unemployment insurance that day.

If you'd rather, donate to your local Food Bank - they're likely to be even more overwhelmed than usual when all those folks are cut off from their Unemployment Insurance, and could probably use the donations. Porch Durham ( http://porchdurham.org/?page_id=165 ) or the Interfaith Food Shuttle are two immediate suggestions.

Carpooling is encouraged. I haven't heard anything about any buses going.

I'm working that day so can't go to this one.
