Many of us will have a chance to choose U.S. Congressional candidates based on newly-drawn districts, but all North Carolina voters will be able to vote for their candidate to fill one of seven seats on the N.C. Supreme Court.
The race for a position on the state’s highest court is incredibly important. In 2015 alone, the court ruled in 74 cases, including crucial evaluations of state redistricting plans for state legislative and Congressional voting districts, standards for investigatory stops by police, and the authority to increase customers’ electrical service rates.

Regardless of where you live – we want to make sure you’re ready to vote in June.

MY JUNE BALLOT
A voter’s choice for Congressional District candidates depends on their party affiliation and the district where they live. Some Congressional districts have only one candidate in their party and that person automatically moves to the November general election. The voters of that party and in that district will not see a Congressional contest on their primary ballot.

Every voter will have one state Supreme Court race on their ballot for the June 7th primary. There will be four candidates on your ballot. The two with most votes will appear on the November general election ballot. Here’s a link to the candidates for the N.C.
