He has a few other volunteers too.

Is there any particular infrastructure set up for things like this?

Is there any people in particular he should contact other than the obvious ones of the state and local N.C. Democratic parties and the Clinton campaign?

Are there any particular areas or towns where they would do the most good?

Offering rides during the early vote period is really helpful too. We still have same-day registration during that period, so colleges and places with high concentrations of renters are good too.

He considers the race there to be of particularly high importance, and he's right.

I think he and his friends will rent or drive their cars so just figuring out where they will do the most good and where to stay are probably the main logistical details, and hooking up with the campaign to get addresses where to pick people up.
