Why Nix All Six Amendments
Here's some of the best information I have found on the reasons why these amendments are nothing but a power grab by the NCGA. I know, some of it looks like satire but unfortunately, it's all real.
Please Vote NO for them all.

WHY SHOULD I VOTE AGAINST THE AMENDMENTS?
State lawmakers put misleading constitutional amendments on the ballot, but don’t be fooled. All of the amendments are unnecessary, and the worst will:
Inject partisan politics into our courts—which should remain independent and impartial.
Block investigations into corrupt politicians.
Permanently shift the tax burden from the wealthy to middle-class families.
Give state legislators a blank check to rewrite our constitutional system of checks and balances.

These six amendments represent an effort by the North Carolina General Assembly to make sweeping, permanent, and unnecessary changes to our state’s most important legal document. Lawmakers have placed these six proposed amendments on the ballot through a rushed and contentious process, often with little or no debate or explanation of the amendments’ potential impact.
If approved, the amendments would threaten many of the civil rights and civil liberties that we work to defend and that North Carolina’s Constitution is supposed to protect. If you haven’t been following the 6 Constitutional Amendments that our NC General Assembly is putting on the November ballot, here they are in a nutshell. NIX all SIX is what we’re proposing as they would devastate our state if they are written into the NC Constitution! Please pass this on! KNOW YOUR AMENDMENTS
THE WON’T YOU BE MY VICTIM AMENDMENT
Victims’ rights will be extended to any class of people the legislature wants, including fetuses. This amendment will pave the way for making abortion illegal under North Carolina’s constitution.
THE WON’T YOU KILL EVERY RULE ABOUT HUNTING & FISHING AMENDMENT
Overfishing in the Pamlico Sound? Hunting with high-powered rifles in downtown Charlotte? Shooting neighborhood cats and dogs? It’s all good under this amendment.
THE STACK COURTS WITH PARTISAN HACKS AMENDMENT
Give Phil Berger, a representative of only one small district, the power to fill all judicial vacancies. Makes the third branch of government obsolete.
THE STRIP THE GOVERNMENT OF ALL POWER AMENDMENT
Destroy the separation of power. Give the legislature the power to appoint members of 400 state boards.
THE STARVE PUBLIC SCHOOLS INCOME TAX CAP AMENDMENT
Public education is our most important investment. This would starve our schools, plus our government would have no way to respond to emergencies like Hurricane Matthew.
THE VOTER ID SUPPRESSION AMENDMENT
This one will stop 300,000 people from voting. It doesn’t specify which I Ds will be allowed and which will not. Think a college I D or a Social Security card would qualify? Think again.
