anyone else noticing the numbers on Worldometer for NC ?

for example, yesterday NC had low number of cases 500+ and new deaths in the 20's... so i was pleased hoping we had turned a corner, maybe masking was working etc ... we've been averaging 1k-1.5k cases for several weeks, deaths between 20's to high 50's a few times ...
so the low #'s last nite was encouraging and i checked throughout the nite, even after they reset back to zero by clicking the yesterday tab, 500+ new cases, new deaths in the 20's..
then watching the news this morning and they announced ~1500 new cases and deaths in the 50's, went to worldometer and the #'s had gone up over nite, like triple 😑
so today they have shown 249 new cases and no deaths listed all day, even after reset ... still says the same at 10pm ..
why would they be changing the #'s overnite other than to hide them?
you only see the new #'s by tabbing yesterday to see the update
..
🤔

not sure i like this ...

States do use diff Methods and schedules to report data. States aren't mandated to follow a specific process to report cases. For ex Texas numbers change through out the day and now are reported using only death certificate cause of death.

the numbers were reported early in the day, and might uptick by a few as the time went by .. now just an initial update, and nothing more for hours ..
even now at 11:23 it still says 249 new cases, 0 deaths reported
i will check again later tonite and again in the morning to see if the totals change
and yes i've seen Texas and other states #'s change throughout the day, but not
just in the wee hours of the nite

For "new cases" they have listed...
Aug 10......... 1164
Aug 11........... 1430
Aug 12........... 249

But then under "new deaths"...
Aug 9. ......... 9
Aug 10......... NOTHING AT ALL
Aug 11.......... 63 (highest recorded number of deaths)
Aug 12......... NOTHING AT ALL

Something is screwed up, especially since some dates aren't even on the bar graphs and when they are it goes from nothing to the highest ever for deaths and from really high to really low for new cases....odd!

no mention of covid19 #'s from yesterday

if 249 new cases and 0 new deaths were accurate it would be announced as a historic milestone change...

so #'s being withheld ?

They were cooperating as far as working with local health departments but local health departments didn’t want to ruin their relationship by reporting numbers to the state‘s department of Health and Human Services.

Probably stayed quiet with the encouragement of Department of Labor who is a Republican.

The meatpacking numbers finally got to the state Health and Human Services (Democratic) Mandy Cohen.

Our governor Roy Cooper is doing a very good job in a purple state.

i watch worldometer for its simplicity, loads easily and i can see the day's results for all 50 states etc
and again today 8/14 shows low #'s following a day of high #'s
and no deaths listed ...
the discrepancies started this week

I can post some other sites if you think your phone might work with them. The NCDHHS site is the official State of NC count, however.

I wouldn't get too caught up in being 100 % accurate on a daily basis. It's a rolling count, bound to fluctuate day to day as counts are daily adjusted.

I found it's difficult to get them all to agree anyway. That's one of the reasons I stopped doing the daily counts. It was just very frustrating to reconcile at times. LMK if I can help.

On Aug. 12, 2020, NCDHHS announced corrections to the state’s daily and cumulative completed COVID-19 test counts after discovering a discrepancy in testing data that had been submitted by LabCorp.
