Joe the Plumber meant we should start shooting FRUIT, not people

Joe sure is taking a lot of flak right now for some comments he made at a campaign event. While stumping in Arizona for state senator named Lori Klein, the plumber spoke eloquently about the need to secure America’s borders.

This is what he said:

“For years I’ve said, ‘Put a damn fence on that border going to Mexico and start shooting . . .’ That’s how I feel. I’m not going to hide it just because I’m running for office. I want the borders protected, and I’m very adamant about that.”

Did Joe say we should start shooting people? Of course not. He merely said we should start shooting. And judging from his latest campaign video (still shots below) we can say with a high degree of confidence that what Joe really meant is that we should “start shooting fruits and vegetables.”
