In a Friday evening letter to students, Melissa S. Shivers, Ohio State’s vice president for student life, warned that the university’s student conduct team was already opening “dozens” of conduct cases “which likely will result in interim suspensions for individuals and student organizations who have chosen to hold parties that are not consistent with safe and healthy guidelines,” she said.
The university had issued 228 interim suspension as of Monday afternoon, Ohio State spokesman Ben Johnson said.

Student organizations could also lose their university recognition or funding, university event spaces, access to current or future athletic and other ticket inventory; and could be deemed ineligible for organizational awards and honors from the Office of Student Life.
