Ohio and Obamacare

I'm guilty of not paying attention to this issue when I should have been.

Does anyone know if Obamacare will be available in Ohio or will there be an exchange? We currently pay $768/month for not so good health insurance. My husband is an early-retired Journeyman, so the insurance is through his former employer. From what I can tell, we meet the income restrictions. We both have chronic health issues, so no one else will take us at any price.

I'm hoping we can get Obamacare and save some money and have at least the same coverage we do now. Thanks.

Said state being controlled by Reeps. So we are still guessing, but here is the most likely scenario: the Feds will set up and run the exchanges at first. Later on, The Kasich and his Kronies will take it over if they think they can steal sone more money.

Bottom line: you should be able to shop for a more competitively priced plan next year, at the very least.

This is the marketplace where you can comparison shop for individual plans, no exclusions for pre-existing conditions, with lower-income subsidies available. I believe the exchanges are supposed to start working this Oct. to purchase plans that will start 1/14. What is not clear (don't know about Ohio) is the Medicaid expansion which many asshole Repug governors have declined to people can suffer so the Repugs can make a political point.
