Kasich fuels presidential speculation
In February 1999, then Rep. John Kasich launched a bid for the 2000 Republican nomination for president. Kasich dropped out of the race five months later.

Gov. John Kasich awoke to a front-page story in the Wall Street Journal yesterday that not only mentioned him as a possible White House contender for 2016, but as someone who could “rebrand the Republican Party.” After that piece, Kasich’s press office announced by 11:30 a.m. that Kasich would lead a national push to produce a federal balanced-budget amendment. And about an hour after that, in a speech to the Franklin County Republican Party, he said the Affordable Care Act is “not Obama’s plan; it’s Hillarycare.” It was quite a sequence ... but for a governor seeking re-election next year or of someone thinking bigger?

Then comes the part that sets Mr. Kasich apart. All this is just prelude, he says, to a larger mission, one his Christian faith has called him to shoulder: "helping the poor, the beleaguered and the downtrodden, and trying to heal them and lift them up." More so than any other leading Republican, Gov. Kasich is using his perch to promote a blend of conservative orthodoxy leavened with liberal policies meant to help the poor, the mentally ill and the uninsured.

He wouldn't make it to the first debate!

What has that man done to help anyone other than himself and his well-connected corporate buddies? The poor and beleaguered in Ohio would be AMAZED to hear that he is looking out for them.

Hi all! Long time!

Yeah. K-SICK is the least-repulsive of the crowd, from Jindall in LA to Scott Walker in WI and Rick "the Red Wings need a new arena" Snyder in MI, Rick Scott in FL and PA's Tom Corbett where PA's capitol Harrisburg is going broke where they have to sell off Wild West Artifacts at an auction!
Mebbe Chris "doughnuts are a food group" Christie might look like a "moderate republican" too.
But Rick "good hair" Perry will be there too in the GOPher Klown Kar Prez Primary 2016.
(and don't get me started on ALEC MAN NC Guv Pat "we don't want folks to vote" McCrory - ugh)

We still have to unelect K-SICK.
