You must be along the Columbia somewhere, I heard there was some major wind there. I am in the Willamette Valley and it has been unseasonably beautiful! But today, we have rain and more normal February weather. I saw that Brookings got to 68 degrees day before yesterday. Would have been a nice day for crabbing

It wasn't so bad last night, but the night before was insane. It doesn't help that the designer of the building I live in thought it should be bigger on the 2nd floor where I am than on the first floor. Essentially turning the whole thing as much less aerodynamic than a normal square building as possible. Looking at the other poor architectural choices that were made, I'm half surprised they didn't attach actual sails to the corners as well. .

I believe I now have an understand of what it would be like to try to sleep inside an awkwardly shaped box placed inside a wind tunnel

with August when it's blazing in the inland valleys, sucking the ocean fog onto the coast for really pretty miserable summers.
