The Lancaster and York areas are changing with development creeping outward from Philadelphia. Chester County used to be reliably Republican, but not so much now. The same is happening to Lancaster and York which are right next door.

in local government which is mostly non-partisan. Wallace was kind of unknown there, so he made a really good showing. I think there are just too many rednecks in Bensalem, Levittown, etc right now for Dems to win.

SD-10 where Steve Santarsiero beat Marguerite Quinn 52-47
SD-12 where Maria Collett beat Stewart Greenleaf, Jr for his dad's open seat 53-47
SD-26 where Tim Kearney beat Tom McGarrigle 54-46
SD-38 where Lindsey Williams edged Jeremy Shaffer 50.2-49.8, roughly 550 votes
SD-44 where Katie Muth ousted John Rafferty 52-48

In SD-6, exactly 100 votes seperate incumbent R Tommy Tomlinson and Dem Tina Davis with a few precincts still out in this Bucks county district.

Republicans had held a 34-16 advantage meaning they had the 2/3rd needed to override a veto. Wagner resigned to run for governor taking them down to 33-16, now with 5 pick ups, it's now 29-21.

As gerrymandered as our state is, this makes me very happy. For a supposed swing state, we Dems blow them out of the water when we turn up to vote. This gives me hope for our state and nation.

Seems like some of those state legislators are in there for life. Looking forward to more gains in 2020!
