I'm happy to see some activity with the Democrats in Butler.

In Pittsburgh, we're all Dems here and not much has changed. One interesting thing is happening on the Northside (my district). This will only be of interest to local Northsiders though. Longtime City Council member Darlene Harris is being challenged for her City Council seat by Bobby Wilson, a new guy. Darlene Harris has represented the Northside for a long time and I've met her a few times. The interesting thing is that our Mayor Bill Peduto is supporting the challenger and he sent out a mailing to every household on the Northside asking people to support Wilson. Last Sunday afternoon there was a knock on my door, and it was Bobby Wilson himself canvassing my neighborhood. It's no secret that Darlene Harris has been at odds with Mayor Peduto, since she ran against him in last year's primary race. She didn't get much traction though, Peduto has been doing well in Pittsburgh. He's been re-elected to his 2nd term as mayor and it was pretty much a landslide.
