Average PA. PHEAA State Grants Available to College Students

https://connections.pheaa.org/xorders/pdf_docs/PB_GR-STGPB_Web_083011.pdf

The above link has the most recent info available about the average amounts of PA. state grants available to college students.

Generally, if a student chooses to attend a college outside of PA, they either greatly decrease the amount of their grant, or are ineligible, depending upon the state where the college is located.

Corbett and GOP-controlled legislature did cut funding to this state grant program this year. The difference was made up by PHEAA using some profits from other operations, however, we don't know what will happen in the future.

Also note that undergrad college student loans are still scheduled to double to 6.8% for new loans taken out after July 2013. New federally subsidized loans are no longer available for graduate or professional school.
