What is wrong with this picture?
The PA. Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources is responsible for leasing tens of thousands of acres of PA public land for fracking activities. In fact, the agency's state budget was slashed during the Corbett years, and the agency now is largely funded with fracking revenues.
The new Director of Administration for the Dept. was just chosen. Until recently, he was a top executive with Chesapeake Energy, one of the largest fracking companies in PA.
"We would wish that DCNR would look to people with background in public lands management experience rather than gas drilling," said Jeff Schmidt, president of the Sierra Club of Pennsylvania."

(18,219 posts)that I am not sure how much more of this bullshit I can take before I go to Harrisburg and kick him in the balls. I might have to stop reading anything else that he has done, since there is absolutely nothing we can do to stop him. At least not while he is in office and has Republican control in the legislature. I feel like we have to just bend over and take it----or that is what my Democratic rep is always saying, in a nicer way.
