Charges against Penn State administrators could be tossed because of conflict of interest by witness

http://articles.mcall.com/2013-12-15/news/mc-penn-state-spanier-perjury-charges-20131213_1_president-graham-spanier-vice-president-gary-schultz-athletic-director-tim-curley

So after placing a very low priority for a couple years on the Sandusky investigation, Corbett's Attorney General's office eventually targeted 2 top Penn State administrators for engaging in a cover up of some of the initial allegations against Sandusky.

The AG's office called the 2 administrators in for questioning. Penn State provided their Chief Counsel to travel with the administrators during the questioning. The men thought that the Chief Counsel was representing them. The judge and the prosecutors also spoke as if the Chief Council was representing them.

Then, Corbett's office used that same Chief Counsel as a major witness against the 2 administrators before the Grand Jury, and wants to use that same testimony to convict them. Many attorneys believe this is a clear conflict of interest that could sink the case. When was the last time you saw someone's attorney testify against them?

There are hearings this week in Harrisburg on the matter.
